Brainstorming
For this assignment, I struggled to brainstorm something unique to create from the letter O. The letter O is such a simple, symmetrical shape that it does not inherently have a lot of visual interest. Originally, my goal was to create that visual interest through the font chosen, using some eccentric, fiery font like "Blazed" to create images like a basketball or baseball on fire. However, it didn't feel like there was much creative room with the logo because the font was so captivating already.
Instead, I ended up going with a simplistic, symmetrical font: "Minion Variable Concept" to embrace the essence of what the letter O is. From there, my partner had the brilliant idea to showcase the letter's balance through the visuals of aerial hoops, which require balance to use but are beautiful when mastered.
